  What is DC Standby Power for Communications?
Communications networks are powered by DC (Direct Current) power. Intergy rectifiers provide the DC power for telephone exchanges, cellular sites, fibre optic and radio telephones, all over the world.

The power is off, but the telephone works?
Batteries keep the phone working during a power cut and it is Intergy DC power systems that make sure that the batteries will not let you down.

1. AC Power from the mains or standby generator.
2. DC supply from the DC rack power system powers the telecom equipment.
3. The DC RPS also keeps the batteries charged.
4. When AC power is lost the telecom equipment is powered direct from the battery.
